📊 What are Report Types?

Every report in Upspring starts with a type — it defines how your data is structured and what question you want to answer.

You can choose between two report types:

  1. Top Performing – see all your ads (or grouped results) ranked by performance.

  2. Custom Group Comparison – compare hand-picked sets of ads, concepts, or filters side-by-side.

  3. Launch Report - Track and analyze ads launched since a specific date. Create custom segments, based on performance metrics.

⚡ Top Performing

Purpose: Quickly find your best-performing ads, creatives, or concepts for any date range.

The Top Performing report aggregates all ad data for the selected account and time window, and presents it based on your chosen Group By (e.g., Creative, Headline, Landing Page).

🧩 Custom Group Comparison

Purpose: Compare any two (or more) sets of ads defined by your own filters.

Custom Groups let you create your own segments inside Upspring — each one defined by filters like campaign name, format, creator, country, spend range, or even specific keywords.

✨AI Insight Layer

Both report types feed directly into Upspring’s AI Insights engine — allowing you to:

  • Surface trends like “Concept A delivers 22% higher engagement than Concept B”

  • Generate next-step suggestions for your next creative batch

  • Identify hidden winners across ad variants and naming inconsistencies
